1.What was life like before you became a member? I have always been active. I am an avid outdoorsman, love to work in the yard, skiing with the family, but as time progressed it was harder to stay in shape and the combination of more desk work and unhealthy eating habits, I began to accept my dad bod.
2. At the time you enrolled, were you already exercising? What was your previous background in fitness? I was not exercising other than the occasional hike or work in the yard. I played baseball all the way through my high school years, but as the needs of school and work increased I got further away from many of the activities that kept me in shape.

3. What originally prompted you to seek us out? My wife Stacey and her sister joined the Keystone CrossFit Bootcamp program and loved it. They encouraged me to join, and I figured I would give it a shot.
4. What was your goal when you originally signed up? My initial goal was to just lose a few pounds and hopefully feel more energetic. However, I started to realize the additional benefits that came along with it. I have lower cholesterol, lower blood sugar levels, and have a healthier BMI as a result.

5. What have you liked best about working with us? The community! I took some time off as a result of the covid years and missed the people. I am glad to be back at Keystone.
6. What are you most proud of achieving since you started? Being able to stay with the program and hopefully being an encouragement to others to challenge themselves and trust the process.

7. With everything that you have accomplished, has your view of yourself changed? I have run a few 5k’s, 10k’s(not interested in any 1/2 marathons or marathons :)) and competed in a few CrossFit competitions and have surprised myself. Even as I get older, I am still hitting a few PR’s.
8. What would you say to anyone else who might be dealing with any similar struggles you did? Show up! The hardest part of any workout. If you can find that workout partner that will be your accountability partner. Gotta give a shout out to the 530 crew, if you’re not there, someone is asking where you were, how you’re doing.

9. Do you have any special moments/memories? I love the group workouts like 100’s and murph, but I remember Jordan finishing his bootcamp and how drastic his transformation. He ended up winning the challenge and seeing his emotion and sharing it with his sisters was truly inspirational.
10. What is your favorite movement/lift? My favorite movement is pull ups and my favorite lift is Power/Hang cleans.
